Château de Salorges
What’s more beautiful than making your dream come true? In 2024, we purchased Château de Salorges, a small château located in the heart of the stunning Morvan Natural Park in central France. For us, this place brings together everything we were looking for: breathtaking views, space, peace, nature, and all the beauty that France has to offer.
As you follow the Yonne River, you enter the estate, which spans 1.5 hectares. From every corner of the property, you have stunning views of the Morvan’s hills and forests. Within the château, you’ll find our private residence as well as the Castle Gîte. In addition, three more gîtes are spread across the grounds, making a total of four available for rent. To fully enjoy the breathtaking scenery, several cozy seating areas have been created throughout the garden for guests to use. You can also simply relax and take in the beauty of the garden and the surrounding nature.
The history
Château Salorges is a small castle dating back to the 15th and 17th centuries. From the mid-20th century, the château and its outbuildings were used as a summer camp to teach children about nature. Later, the château became privately owned, and eventually, four holiday homes were created on the estate.
